Tour to Iran and Armenia – 10 days

Day 1

  • Arrival at Tehran international airport, transfer to the hotel

Day 2

  • Visit to Golestan Palace – one of the most ancient architectural sights in Iran. It consists of royal buildings and gardens.
  • Excursion to the National Museum or to the Museum of National Jewels where you will explore amazing collections of Safavid and other royal dynasties: crowns, diadems, swords and other precious gems.
  • A walk in the Ab-Va-Atash park which name means “Water and Fire Park”
  • Visit to Milad and Azadi towers and a walk in the Ab-Va-Atash park.
  • Trip to Isfahan

Day 3

  • City tour around Isfahan
  • Explore the famous Isfahan bridges, including the longest bridge Si-O-Si-Pole
  • Stroll around the largest square of Isfahan – Naqsh-e Jahan. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • The next stop will be at the grand forty-eight meters high Ali Qapu Palace in the XVII-the cent. by Shah Abbas I.
  • Visit to Sheikh Lotfollah – an example of outstanding architecture
  • Walk at the local bazaar. You will have free time to buy souvenirs at the bazaar.

Day 4

  • The excursion will begin with a visit to the Jami mosque – the UNESCO object in Iran
  • The tour continues to Chehel Sotoun – an outstanding architectural masterpiece of the XVII-the cent. Once it was used by Iranian shahs for entertainment and receptions of dignitaries and ambassador.
  • Visit to the Armenian Church Vank which is one of the most beautiful Armenian churches in the world, which will undoubtedly attract the attention of every Christian
  • The last excursion will be at Hasht Behesht Palace
  • Flight to Tabriz

Day 5

  • Walking tour in Tabriz – one of the biggest cities in Iran.
  • Stroll around the beautiful El-Goli Park named after Shah Golu. It has a square artificial lake and a beautiful building in the middle of the lake with the traditional architecture of Iranian Azerbaijan. Besides the beautiful El Goli Park there is also a luxurious 17-floor building named Tabriz Pars Hotel with a marvelous view.
  • Visit to the Blue Mosque and the house-museum of Amir-Al- Mulk
  • Visit to Grand Bazar – a World Heritage Site worth exploring as the largest roofed bazaar in the world that used to be on the Silk Route playing an important role as a commercial and economic center.

Day 6

  • Morning trip to Iran-Armenia border which lies between Nordooz and Agarak villages. After passing border we will drive to Goris, Armenia, where we will stay for overnight.

Day 7

  • Tour in the surroundings of Goris – a small cozy town in the south of Armenia
  • Visit to Tatev Monastery – “the pearl of Armenian medieval architecture.” The monastery located above the gorge can be reached by the longest cable car in the world
  • Visit to Noravank Monastery
  • Stop in Areni village for wine degustation
  • Arrival to Yerevan and stop for an overnight

Day 8

  • The day will start with a trip to Geghard Cave Monastery – the example of unique rock architecture. It is a UNESCO object of the country.
  • City-tour around Yerevan. You will see famous Cascade Complex, the building of Opera and Ballet Theatre after A. Spendiarian, Republic Square. You will visit the Museum of History of Armenia, Matenadaran – a repository of ancient manuscripts, research institute and museum, the Armenian Genocide memorial complex – Armenia’s official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Those who wish can visit the museum of the memorial.
  • Taste famous Armenian brandy in Ararat brandy factory.

Day 9

  • This day you will visit the religious center of all Armenians, Etchmiadzin town. Here was founded the first Christian church in the world, Echmiadzin Cathedral.
  • Next stop will be at the ruins of Zvartnots Temple. Zvartnots is of great value not only for Armenians but also for international society, as it is inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
  • The tour will continue to Lake Sevan – an amazing azure lake, one of the highest mountain lakes in the world.

  • Transfer to the airport, departure
